Smokable Marijuana is on the Horizon in Florida!
It would seem that the will of the people of the state of Florida will soon be properly served with the addition of smokable marijuana to the medical marijuana dispensaries. Newly elected Governor Ron DeSantis has taken a position that aligns with the people’s decision on voting in Amendment 2 and the lifting of a ban on smokable marijuana.
“What the Florida legislature has done to implement the people’s will has not been done in accordance with what the amendment envisioned,” Governor De Santis said. He has appealed to the state legislature to lift the ban on smokables. The state legislature appears receptive to the idea of lifting the smokable ban!
The people of the state of Florida voted for Amendment 2 and in favor of smokable marijuana for medicinal use. The legislature is due to meet in early March and Gov. DeSantis has asked them to act before mid-March. This may mean smokable marijuana at dispensaries sometime in March. Most of the dispensaries are ready and waiting for the ban to be lifted. So, once the legislature has lifted the smokable ban the product should be available shortly thereafter. This is great news for the people of Florida who voted to put smokable marijuana into law with the passage of Amendment 2.
